CoolSculpting® FAQs
What happens to the frozen fat cells?
When fat cells freeze, they die and are then naturally eliminated through the body’s natural process. Don’t worry: This process happens so gradually, so you won’t necessarily notice a difference in your day-to-day life.
How long does it take to see results from CoolSculpting?
You’ll start to see changes as soon as 1-3 months after treatment. Final results may take 6 months or more.
Does CoolSculpting hurt?
The area on your body that is being treated will become numb in about five to ten minutes while the treatment is performed. After the treatment, you might feel a bit of tingling in the area where fat was taken.
Can I have CoolSculpting if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
We do not recommend getting CoolSculpting® treatments during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
Possible side effects of CoolSculpting?
Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment.
Are CoolSculpting results permanent?
As long as you maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen, the results from CoolSculpting® are permanent, as the fat cells have been destroyed through cryolipolysis.
