LUMECCA FAQs
How often can you have Lumecca
Multiple treatments over a period of several months may be required to achieve the desired results. Lumecca treatments may be scheduled 3-4 weeks apart.
Does Lumecca hurt?
Patients have said that Lumecca feels like a small rubberband snapping against their skin. This sensation may be more or less uncomfortable for some patients, but in general, Lumecca is a relatively painless treatment. After a Lumecca treatment, you may feel like you have a mild sunburn on the treated area.
I have a big event coming up, how far in advance should I come in for my Lumecca treatment?
Most patients will see an improvement in their skin within 1-2 weeks after a Lumecca treatment. These results will continue to improve over time and are usually at their best around 2-4 weeks after your most recent treatment.
Can you do Lumecca while pregnant or breastfeeding?
If you are treating Melasma, we do not recommend this treatment during pregnancy and nursing. If you are melasma free, this treatment should be fine to do while you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
