What to look for in a reputable aesthetic clinic — and what Skin Solutions Collective has stood for since we opened in 2009.
Book a Consultation Our TeamNYC has more aesthetic clinics per square mile than anywhere else in the country. The gap between reputable practices and problematic ones is not always obvious from the outside. Here's what to look for.
Your injector should be a PA-C, NP, RN, or MD — with a verifiable license you can look up through New York State's Department of Health. Ask who will physically perform your treatment before you book.
Allergan, Galderma, and Revance offer advanced training programs beyond basic licensing. Providers with these credentials have demonstrated competency on the specific products they use. Lauren Abramowitz PA-C is an Allergan National Trainer.
Reputable providers assess your whole face before recommending any specific treatment. If a clinic skips assessment and goes straight to selling, that tells you something important about how they operate.
Photos should be the clinic's own patients, attributed to a named provider, showing realistic starting points and results at 2-4 weeks post-treatment — not manufacturer stock imagery.
Any practice administering HA filler must stock hyaluronidase on-site. Ask about it directly. A provider who doesn't know what you're asking should not be injecting you.
NYC medspas open and close constantly. A practice that has operated continuously for 10+ years, with a stable team and consistent patient base, has earned its reputation through outcomes — not marketing.
